Hunan Chendian International Development Share-holding Limited Company (“Chendian International” for short) is an organizer of CHENZHOU INTERNATIONAL SMALL HYDRO POWER BASE OF UNIDO. The Company mainly operates power supply, urban water supply, and industrial gas production as well as concurrently operating the comprehensive development on small and medium-sized hydro power, and international communication and information consulting on small hydro power. The Company administers five branch companies, eight subsidiaries and five secondary subsidiaries with the total assets of nearly RMB 4.5 billion Yuan and the employees of 3,205 in all.

For the past few years, Chendian International has implemented numerous international small hydro power technical communications, hydro power engineering constructions, trainings and exports for labor service in which more than 500 technicians have been successively assigned to support the local small hydro power constructions in more than 30 countries and regions such as India, Nepal, and Zambia. In May 2002, The Ministry of Water Resources of the People’s Republic of China established that the national and local electric power “Chenzhou Mode” of Chendian International in modernized corporate management and technical application was popularized across the country; in 2004, Chendian International has successfully completed Dongjiang Hydrologic Data Collection and Transmission System constructed by Chenzhou Local Grid and aided by The Government of Canada; in April 2007, Chendian International has successfully won the bid of the EPC on four transformer substations of 132kv power transmission and transformation project of Nepal Electricity Authority; in 2011, Chendian International implemented “Lighting Africa”, the small hydro power project in Zambia; besides, Chendian International has undertaken training classes and seminars of international small hydro power, becoming “The Family and International Friend of the Small Hydro Power”.
