The polish corporation Tauran Ekoenergia sp.z.o.o has signed a US$12 million contract with ZRE Gdansk S.A. to work on the 7.585 MW Pilchowice facility on Poland's Bobr River.
The rehabbing procedure includes the replacement of Units TZ-1 through TZ-4 and TZ-6 as well as the refurbishment of Unit TZ-5. Turbines, generators and excitation systems will all be overhauled, including the replacement of the automation and protection systems, switchgear, transformers, valves, a crane, and steel pipelines. The owner of Tauron Ekoenergia has announced that the work is expected to be completed in 30 months.
