GREEN SHP RESEARCH PROJECTS
With support from the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Science & Technology, ICSHP carries out two key research programs:
Green Hydropower Authentication System and Evaluation Index
A green hydropower index system composed of hydrological parameters will be established. The system will be based on the introduction of green hydropower authentication experience from developed countries. Analysis of different hydropower development regions in China will guide project development. The result of this research will provide theoretical and technical support to further research on green hydropower authentication systems, structure and management.
Hydropower and Ecological Impact on River Basins
A new rural hydropower development model that considers both economic benefits and the ecological environment will be established. More rural ecological environmental compensation measures will be proposed. The research involves collection of relevant data of rural hydropower development models and ecological environmental compensation measures, and the analysis of their current status and problems.
Through implementation of science and technology research projects, ICSHP seeks to enhance capability and provide theoretical and technical support to rural hydropower development in China and abroad.
